When HyoEun & Patrick contacted me from Qatar, I had to ask them why they had chosen to celebrate their wedding in Ashford Castle www.ashford.ie They explained that they had travelled throughout the world and had never been to Ireland. And since the families would be coming from the US and Korea, Ashford Castle in the West of Ireland was the perfect venue. On the morning of the wedding Patrick and the guys went fishing on the castle estate, whilst HyoEun and the girls were busy getting ready. I soon realised that both of their mothers were planning to wear the most amazing, hand embroidered traditional Korean silk dresses. By mid afternoon everyone was ready and the wedding ceremony was conducted in a private room in the castle overlooking the gardens. Guinness and champagne were the drinks of choice to toast the bride and groom. A relaxing stroll through the castle grounds preceded a gourmet tasting menu in the private dining room. I would like to thank all of the staff at Ashford Castle for their incredible attention to detail and I am looking forward to catching up with Patrick and HyoEun next time I'm in Qatar. Many congratulations again.
